A new business has to attract attention. This can be done by various means, usually a press release to a business site or magazine or advertisements, but more commonly it's by local advertisement to a target market, either businesses or residential.

The new business announcement needs to generate customer awareness. In most cases, special offers are made, and a strong pitch for value and convenience is the main content.
The example below is an announcement of a new discount shop in the local mall. It's a mixed line of stock, and the promotion is geared to customer interest. Being a small business, the announcement also contains a strong competitive element.
This is an obviously an advertisement, which is also used as an in store promotional sheet and local letter drop.
Note: The advantage of this sort of text is that it easily translates across all forms of advertising media, even radio and TV. Having been set up on your macro, it can be used as a generic format for most promotions.
