Letter requesting clarification of course description

Dear Dr. Richardson

I am entering Community University as a freshman majoring in Political Science and Communications. I am planning to get a head start by taking three courses this summer before the fall semester begins.

I am writing to you because I need clarification on two of the course descriptions for the courses I may be taking this summer. These courses are English History 1 and Early American History 1. Which of these two courses would best suit me during the summer session as an incoming freshman?
