I hope you know us well enough to realize that we would never have missed your dinner party without a very good reason. As we were leaving for your house we get a phone call informing us that our son was involved in an automobile accident. He was taken to the emergency room and our only thought at the time was to be with him. The very good news is that he was not badly hurt and will fully recover. |
We would much rather have been at your dinner party. I'm sure it was a lovely evening.
