Dear Mr. Smith

I understand that you will be using subcontractors for the roofing, windows and hauling. I also accept that you will be covering all workmen with your own liability insurance. As stated during our meeting, you will provide an insurance certificate before the work is begun.

As agreed upon at our meeting, the work is scheduled to begin June 15th and be completed by the 21st. I will pay you 25% of the agreed price on the day work is begun with the remainder being paid upon satisfactory completion of the work. If there is a problem with the start date you have agreed to notify me no later than June 11th to reschedule.
