'SWOT' is an acronym for a business study methodology called Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats:, used to analyze internal and external business venture risks and opportunities. 'Swot analysis' is the descriptor of the function. The SWOT methodology is used to provide a basis for business planning, and is useful because it systematically sets out issues to be addressed, often providing information that wouldn't appear in standard business plans. |
