Globalism is the concept of a world society based on trade and communications, as distinct from the old nation state structure. The theory of globalism is that real economics and real social interactions are no longer confined by national or other border functions. This concept has met opposition from many groups who distrust the economics of cheap labor, and the expedient approach to human rights issues. However, it is a working principle of global trade, and has broken down the insular nature of many societies to some extent, and helped promote the Fair Trade methods for previously excluded producers from non Western countries. |
