Salary requirements are the demands of successful job candidates. The salary requirement is defined by market rates, experience and qualifications. They're commonly used in wage negotiations by professionals in which packages are defined prior to entry into a formal agreement.

Person A has a salary requirement of $140,000. The basic salary requirement is based on:

1. MBA qualifications
2. 10 years experience in management
3. Current salary bandwidth in similar positions in the industry.
4. A premium may be added to a salary requirement based on specific personal credentials, like expertise in a particular area. In person A's case, the average salary in the market is $120,000, but $20,000 has been added to include strong levels of achievement.
