A GP referral letter is based on the patient's need for a particular specialist or type of treatment like a chiropractor. These letters are pretty basic in most cases, referring to a diagnosis of the patient's medical condition, with what information is available to the GP. Medical information, background and documentation in relation to referrals is provided on a needs basis.
