Parasitism in modern usage refers to a range of behaviors, both scientific and social behavior in humans. The expression is based on the biological function of a parasite living off another organism. In its social sense, it's a highly derogatory statement used to describe and denigrate the behavior of others. It may refer to an individual or group behavior. |
Examples of Parasitism:
Biological: A tick is an organism which lives on parasitism, sucking the blood of its host. Social: Organized crime is organized parasitism, sucking the blood of society. Personal: So and so is a form of incarnate parasitism, living off others. https://www.stanford.edu/group/stanfordbirds/text/essays/Brood_Parasitism.html https://cal.vet.upenn.edu/projects/merial/introduction/intro_1.htm https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parasitism https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parasitism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Parasitism |
