Social skills and competences  I consider my social skills to be above average. I have spoken in front of small and large audiences alike. I am comfortable when talking to groups or one-on-one. Working with a variety of publications professionals and learning from them has taught me how to communicate effectively.

Organisational skills  When working with media, organization is key. There is a lot of information, and it is pertinent that this information is absolutely correct or there will be serious problems. I have developed my own personal system of organization to ensure that the information I write, edit or report is without question. Since adolescence I have thought of various ways to organize things. Being organized makes life easier.

I have extensive experience with word processing programs, and I consider it a hobby to experiment with different software programs every once in a while. I am Microsoft Certified with Microsoft Outlook. I have trained numerous employers on the use of this program.

Artistic skills and competences  Not only do I take pride in communicating via the media. However, I also enjoy being behind the scenes. I do this by writing stories and pitching story ideas. As I advance in my career I plan to focus more or my writing so that I can write my own pieces.

Other skills and competences  In the last few years I have been pruning my mechanical skills by adopting woodworking as a hobby. Thus far I have built gnomes, benches, stools, birdhouses and a variety of other small structures. As the years progress, I hope to take on more challenging projects.
