I have been a sergeant at this station for quite some time now. I started here back in 1994 and you conducted my interview. After 14 years here, I'm absolutely proud and happy to be serving with what I think is the best police force in the country.

After these five years as a sergeant, I believe it is time for me to move up. I would like to continue to serve the city as a detective, and the new rank would give me resources and access to better do so. With the new rank of detective, I would have more men working with me and together we could take on the Miami gang, a personal goal of mine.

The following is a list of some of my accomplishments over these 15 years:

• The arrest of Marcum dePaul, as part of a large drug ring which later led to the arrest of 28 other drug traffickers.
• The investigation into the disappearance of Meagan Shiled and her safe return home with the arrest of the babysitter.
• The community programs which I have planned and implemented with the Community Development Board.
• The arrest and successful conviction of 31 rape suspects over a 2 year period.
• The arrest and conviction of John Simms who murdered his parents.

I believe that I am ready for the promotion and I would continue to serve the city as a lieutenant. My record shows my drive, perseverance, and loyalty to this station.
