Psychology means literally the study of the psyche. This science is used as an analytical methodology to study and treat psychological conditions. The science and treatment are based on observation, testing, and interview techniques. These methods discover patterns of behavior and identify causes of psychological trauma, obsession, and behavioral problems. Therapy, where required, is conducted through application of psychological principles and techniques like counseling.
