Example of Hydrogen Bond

A hydrogen bond is a common and extremely important form of chemical bond which in many cases provides a range of information about the compound created by the bond. One of the most basic forms of chemical reference to any compound or form of material is its pH, or 'percentage Hydrogen'. The pH determines the acidity or alkalinity of the material, and therefore its chemical properties. Some simple hydrogen compounds like methane and hydrocarbons are explosive fuels like natural gas, oil, petrol, and gasoline.
