Writing about a friends health
Dear Joan, Beth and Amy
It is with some difficulty that I write this letter, but I think it is important. I saw Michelle and her husband Marcus in the grocery store yesterday.

We all know that she has been ailing for some time, but it is now obvious that she is seriously ill. Marcus confirms it, but says her spirits are good and in most every way she is the Michelle we have known and loved for so long.
I think this is the time to demonstrate how strong our friendship is.

I would like to gather a small group of friends to visit her at home. We can arrange with Marcus for the right time, and bring some treats.
I hope we can try to put something together for next week. I will be in touch soon.
