Letter supporting friend in financial difficulty

Dear Jamie Lynn

I wanted to write to give you my sympathy and tell you how sorry I am that Joe lost his job. These are certainly difficult and trying times for so many people who are being tested in so many ways.

I want you to know that both you and Joe, and all of your family, are in our thoughts and prayers. I know that your family is strong enough to come through this tough time even stronger than it was. We would be willing to offer support with babysitting or other services while the both of you look for better opportunities.
