My Uncle Jay who lived in Louisiana came up with this recipe. It has been passed around the family ever since. We all grew up looking forward to a Halloween treat when we could smell the pie baking in the oven. There are times many children wanted to pass on dinner before desert.
Today I am nearly 80, and the family still passes the recipe around. The children still want a slice of pie before dinner; usually with a dip of ice cream.
