Letter requesting more work study hours

Dear Mr. Harrison
When I first applied to the Office of Financial Aid at Hometown College, part of my financial assistance package included a part-time position in the work-study program of up to twelve hours per week. I was given a slot at the library desk with eight hours per week because of an overload of applicants.

Lately I have seen two students leave their slots at the library, thus opening more hours available. I would like to ask that I be allowed to add an extra four hours onto my schedule to bring them up to the twelve hours allotted to me by the Financial Aid Office.

I would appreciate any help you can give me as this will help pay for more of my college costs this semester.
