Letter cancelling credit card

Dear Customer Service

I am writing this letter to formally request that my account and card be cancelled. I have fully paid off the card and have a current zero balance. I no longer need the card as I am cutting back on spending and am using cash. Please remove me from any further mailings and offers as well. I have cut the card into pieces and destroyed it.
