Dear Ms. McCarthy
My family has held library cards to the Hometown Memorial Library since I can remember. I have been using the library for over four decades and have contributed to many of its fundraising efforts.

Recently both my wife and I have developed difficulty in reading. We are both surprised that the Hometown Memorial Library does not offer large print versions of the many magazines and newspapers that offer this service. We are also wondering why the large print book selection is so small compared to the rest of the library.

This last time it was not. Fortune Insurance allows a copayment of $15 for use of generic drugs to fill prescriptions. They charge a sliding scale of up to $45 for name brand drugs. I am guessing my husband did not notice the charge when he picked up the prescription for me. I do not like paying for pretty little pills and fancy TV advertising.
I don't feel that it would take much of an expense to build up an adequate selection of large print material for those patrons who need this service to enjoy the use of their local library. My family would be more than willing to help with fundraising to finance any purchases in this area; and both my wife and I would be happy to assist in finding and selecting a good range of material to enhance the selection currently offered.
