Thomas will be absent from your class on the following days: Monday through Wednesday, February 9th through the 11th. Our family needs to attend to important family business out of state which requires all of us to go. I have already informed the principal, Dr. Jacobs, of the situation.

I would like to know if you could please assign our son additional reading and homework to keep him up to date with your class while we are away. You are free to call me if you wish to discuss the assignments.

Thomas will be back in class Thursday, February 12 unless there are complications; if this is the case, you will be notified ahead of time.
I want to thank you again for your help and time with this matter. I appreciate the efforts you are taking with the academic progress our son is achieving this year.
