Invitation to a cocktail party for candidates supporters
Dear Jack and Jill
I hope that you will join Barbara and myself on Monday March 9, 2009 at 8PM at our home for cocktails. This is to be the kickoff event of my campaign to run for County Commissioner.

Earlier that same day I am holding a rally on the steps of the East Hometown Town Hall to officially kick off the campaign. This is where I will announce my candidacy for office. You are both invited to that event as well should you wish to attend.

I know that you are two of our community's most concerned and committed citizens; as such I am eager to share my plans and ideas with you for the future of our community.
