Complaint letter to city about a public problem

The Honorable Phillip Grassio
Mayors Office
Municipality of Hometown
Hometown NY

Dear Mayor Grassio

Recently I was in town conducting business. As I attempted to walk down the steps of the community tax office I was bumped by a couple of skateboarders who were using the steps and rails as launching ramps.

I was having a hard time understanding why these children were being allowed to use the steps in such a manner. I saw this as dangerous behavior and an accident waiting to happen on public property. I am sure that the community does not want to open itself to a legal action should one of these skateboarders become injured while on the steps.

At one time there were plans to open up a section of the city park for skateboarders. I am wondering what has happened to that plan.

Sincerely
Harold Oswald
