Example of Humor

Humor may be considered:

  • A form of amusement
  • A perspective causing amusement
  • A state of affairs which is absurd
  • An idea which is ridiculous, derived from a state of affairs, absurd or otherwise
  • A state of mind which discovers absurdity or the ridiculous
  • A type of entertainment or commentary which exposes audiences to the absurd or ridiculous

Humor may be deliberate, premeditated, accidental, unintentional, and even unrealized by those providing it.

Examples of Humor:

Rather ironically, it's recently been discovered that humor acts to cause positive hormonal reactions in sick or depressed people... Millennia after the cliche 'Laughter is the best medicine' was coined and the first deaths from laughter were recorded in ancient Greece. When the TV show I Love Lucy first came out, it was noted that in many American towns and cities there was no traffic on the roads for that half hour.
