- They must be interesting
- They must look good
- They must contain color and look like fun
- The selling propositions must be instantly recognizable
- The text must be easy to read
The DO NOTS of info sheet handouts
- DO NOT give out bland, dull, handouts
- DO NOT use 'attack' methods when giving people your materials
- DO NOT waste space on the sheets
- DO NOT use text that sounds like an ad; stick to facts and prices
The example here is for a women's fashion shop. This is the classic case of a business where promotional materials are a real curse. Normal business is dependent on through traffic and casual shopping. That's a certain recipe for business failure, and you have to move your stock and make a decent profit.
This is a basic A4 sheet, using alternate colored fonts to separate subjects, with letterhead or logo. Note strong use of bold font and capitals, for easier reading:
