I wanted to write a note of thanks for the gift of the framed lithograph of the Case Building as a token of appreciation for the recent presentation I conducted at your last meeting. I do appreciate the thought and generosity of receiving such a valued gift.

Unfortunately, the policy of the Community College prevents me from accepting an expensive offering such as this is from groups or individuals with which the college maintains a professional or business relationship with.
Once again, I thank you for the offer and ask that you allow me to accept your thanks as payment.
