I just received the list of invitations to the awards dinner honoring those who took part in the community home decorating event.

Ashley, I was horrified to find that your name had been omitted from the list, and from the program. When I saw this I knew it was a terrible mistake.

You did so much to make this event a success. Please accept my personal invitation to attend the luncheon on Tuesday May 23, at Beeman's at noon. I intend to recognize you in my speech.
