Computer software is a term used to refer to computer programs, individually, as a group, or in abstract. The term is interchangeable with any expression referring to programs. However, actual program code writing, is a subject considered individual and separate, largely because 'software' is like referring to a car, where code writing refers to the components like engine parts. Software is one of the world's largest industries.
Examples of Computer Software:
|'This software won't run.'|
'We need new software and hardware to hook up the computer to the TV.'
'This part of the code won't run, so the software is inoperable.'
